English Paper Piecing - The Humble Hexagon (EPP-101)

The humble hexagon, this class will take you through the basic steps - choosing and using the tools, cutting the fabric, using paper templates, basting the fabric to the templates, and sewing the pieces together. Work towards the completion of a simple potholder while learning how EPP can be used to make all kinds of fabric crafts.

You will receive a kit with beginning supplies as part of the registration fee.?

Required for the class:? 3 -? fat quarters (1 yellow and 2 of your choice).

Requirements: Students need to bring: 3 Fat quarters in solid colors ( 1 yellow and 2 of your choice). Aurifil 80wt - yellow (available in store) Embroidery Snips Olfa 28mm rotary cutter Small cutting mat (travel size will do) Reading glasses if needed
Instructor: Kara Guthrie
Instructor Bio: A mother of 3 and a former U.S. soldier, Kara found her zen through quilting. Her hippie side will guide you through new techniques and quilting tricks while keeping your calm and motivated. Although she has only been quilting for 3 years, her sassy side will show off her love of bright colors and bold patterns. Students beware? she?s been known to spontaneously break into song and will accept chocolate as tips!
Registration fee includes a kit of beginning supplies.
