Instructor: Debbie Moore
Instructor Bio: Debbie has been sewing for over 50 years. She started out making clothes and then approximately 30 years ago a former member of the Peninsula Piecemakers Quilt Guild, who was my boss at the time, introduced me to quilting. She bought me a ticket to Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, and I went to the Guild?s symposium, and I was hooked. I have taken many quilt classes over the years. I am mostly a traditional quilter, but I do like to branch out and try different methods. I have done applique, paper piecing, English paper piecing and making art quilts that I have designed. I recently joined the Peninsula Modern Quilt Guild and made my first modern quilt for their first challenge earlier this year. I quilt all my pieces on a domestic machine, I do free motion quilting without marking. I enjoy doing other crafts, crocheting, painting pottery and canvas and making pottery. But recently I started making rope bowls and this I have really enjoyed; they make wonderful gifts and are quick and easy to make.
