Little Poppins Bag
This smaller version of the popular Auntie's Two Poppins bag with a zip shut top has plenty of pockets inside for organizing! The structural stays give the bag shape and stability.
The sample bag is made using 2 placemats, but can be made with any fabric

| Requirements: | Little Poppins Bag Pattern and Stays Larger Bag • Fabric A – (Outside) – ½ yard or (2) - 14”x20” rectangle and (2) 14”x1 ½” strips, or 2 sections of a placemat panel • Fabric B – (Inside bag body, pockets and Sashing) – 7/8 yard • Fabric C – Handles, bottom, binding, bows and tabs – 7/8 yard Smaller Bag • Fabric A – (Outside) – 3/8 yard or (2) - 11”x20” rectangle and (2) 11”x1 ½” strips • Fabric B – (Inside bag body, pockets and Sashing) – 3/4 yard • Fabric C – Handles, bottom, binding, bows and tabs – 7/8 yard Interfacing • Bag body – Bosal’s IN-R-FORM PLUS 24” x 58” • Bottoms – ½ yard - stiff double sided-fusible interfacing (20” wide) for either size - Craftex Plus or Pellon 72F or use the pre-cut Craf-tex Plus Camden bag bottoms by Bosal ¼” plumbing tubing (handles) 5 feet **Available at hardware stores** Zipper (1) 30” double slide zipper Matching cotton thread for piecing AND 12 wt matching Fabric C for hand sewing Sewing machine with accessories Walking foot Microtex 90/14 needles Parchment paper or Teflon sheet Pins Wonder Clips Scissors (large and small) Cutting mat Paper 60mm rotary cutter Rulers Frixion pen or marking chalk Circle ruler or template Size 5 Milliners hand sewing needle |
