Beyond Basics Dressmaking Class
Have you ever made a garment that does not quite fit? In this class we'll be using muslin to teach you how to adjust the dress pattern for your measurements. When we are done you should have a modified pattern to be able to create a dress that is made especially for you.
This is not a beginner's class. You should already be able to follow a garment pattern.

Sewing Machines and accessories will be needed in classes 2 through 4.

Purchase online from Simplicity, Amazon or another source. Fabric: 1-1/2 yard of 118-inch-wide muslin Supplies: Dressmaker shears Measuring tape Pencil, pen or some sort of marker to mark the fabric. Remember, we are making a pattern, so the marking can be permanent. Thread Straight Pins Seam ripper Masking tape Optional: Dressmaker’s curve (French curve) Sewing Machine and Accessories - will be needed in classes 2 through 4. |
