Men's / Women's Button-down Shirt Garment Class
In this 4 part class, you will make the shirt with a collar, single yoke, set in sleeves, and buttons. The pattern for this class includes a man’s shirt from sizes XS to XL, and a woman’s shirt from sizes 8 to 18. Please keep in mind that the sizes are not off the rack sizes, but based on the sewing pattern’s size chart.

| Requirements: | Day 1 New Look pattern #6197 2-1/2 yds of 45” wide fabric or 2 yds of 60” wide fabric. Cotton and cotton blends will work well. 1 yd lightweight fusible or sew-in interfacing, 20” to 25” wide. I like fusible Pellon SF101 Shapeflex (Sunshine Quilt Corner carries this.) Pins Pin cushion (I like the magnetic one) Dressmaker shears Fabric marker Days 2, 3, and 4 New Look pattern #6179 All the pattern pieces you cut from Day 1 and the leftover fabric Sewing machine and accessories (feet, needles, thread, etc.) (5) 1/2” buttons (1) pkg 1/2” wide single fold bias tape **only if you are making the shirt sleeveless** Pins Pin cushion Dressmaker shears Fabric marker Hand Sewing needle Seam ripper |
